My name is Leonidas Tsapatsaris (Lee for short). I am a PhD candidate in the department of Chemical and Molecular Engineering at Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, NY. I work in the Endoh/Koga Research Group on industrial adhesives and sealants - basically, watching glue dry (but very scientifically).
When I started my PhD in 2021, I felt a little lost in terms of what I was supposed to be doing, where I was supposed to go, and how I was supposed to be a graduate student. They don't really tell you any of that when you start. So, I started this podcast to share my own experiences as a PhD student, and have some discussions with my grad school colleagues, classmates, and friends on what their experiences have been like as graduate students.
This project has been part of my capstone project for the Graduate Certificate Program for Communicating Science, hosted here at the School of Communication and Journalism at Stony Brook University.
